Today, we enjoyed a trip out to Elmwicke Farm campsite. It’s a working farm, within easy distance of Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and the Forest of Dean, and home to a flock of gorgeous, black and white Jacob sheep. It’s a fantastic spot to pitch a bell tent and feels out in the middle of nowhere, but within walking distance of a great pub – The Old Spot. There’s acres to roam around in and we spied a fantastic spot to picnic under some grand old oak trees, within sight of the Malvern Hills. The owners are happy for fire pits and you can order a BBQ pack of locally sourced meat, salad and bread for a fun evening of outdoor cooking.
